Two new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Aqaba, announced the Governor, Saeb Abu Aboud, on Sunday.

The cases involve government employees who came into contact with other positive cases in a neighboring governorate.

Both cases have been transferred to isolation areas in the Dead Sea and samples are currently being taken from those who came into contact the patients.

The Aqaba Health Affairs Directorate has been implementing a new plan for the past three days, which works on tracing contacts, aiming to reduce the number of random tests.
